Employment

Work: Activity in which one exerts strength or faculties to do or perform something.”

–Merriam-Webster

Merriam-Webster’s definition of work is simple and straightforward, but it doesn’t quite capture the fullness of what work means in our lives. Our work requires most of our waking hours and thoughts, it sets us in relationship with others, it offers purpose and fulfillment, and it forms much of our identity. An experience of mistreatment at work or in business, then, can have severe consequences that extend into all areas of one’s life, and even into the lives of those around them. Below are some of the common legal issues and laws related to employment. If you have been mistreated at work or in a business relationship or simply are not sure if you are being treated in accordance with the law, please contact us at The McCabe Law Firm to discuss your matter.
